How does a digital loyalty card work?
With Cartia, you generate a QR code that your customers scan at the counter. They fill in a short form in about a minute, add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, then collect stamps or points on their phone, with no app to install. No more lost cardboard cards.
What’s the difference between a digital loyalty card and a paper punch card?
The loyalty idea is the same. What changes is what the card does for you:

What do I need to install in my shop?
Nothing more than your smartphone and a printed QR code. Here is how it works:
- The customer scanson their first visit, they scan your QR code to add their new card to their Wallet.
- You scanon later visits, you scan their digital card with your smartphone to give them their loyalty points or their stamp for the visit.
Can I still scan loyalty cards without internet?
Yes, on the Pro and Business plans. When the connection drops, you keep scanning cards at the Cartia counter: stamps, points, removing a mistake, giving a reward. Visits are stored on your phone or tablet and are sent automatically as soon as the connection is back. The customer’s card updates on their phone at that point. The dashboard stays viewable as it was before the outage, for pages already opened on the device. The only requirement: you must have opened the counter once with internet on the device. On the Free plan, the counter needs a connection.

Can I send messages to my customers directly?
Absolutely! Your dashboard lets you create tailored campaigns with ease:

My customers aren’t comfortable with phones. Will this still work?
Rest easy, everything has been reduced to the bare minimum so it works for everyone! Creating the digital loyalty card takes a few seconds and has no technical barrier:
- On their phonejust point the camera at your QR code and fill in a short form (first name, last name, email, date of birth and gender; the phone number is optional). That’s it. The card installs in their Wallet, with no app to download and no password to remember.
- Directly with youdead battery, forgotten phone, or a preference for human contact? You take over. The customer gives you their first and last name at the register, and you find their record in two seconds in your dashboard to give them their points.
Can I get my customer list back if I stop using Cartia?
Your data is 100% yours! At Cartia, we’re against lock-in. The database built through your digital loyalty card is your exclusive property. From the Pro plan, you can generate a CSV export of your whole customer file in one click from your dashboard, whenever you like. If you stop, you leave with all of your contacts.
How long does it take to create my digital loyalty card and generate my QR code?
