Everything Cartia does for your business

This page lists what is delivered and usable today, nothing else: no “coming soon” presented as done. Each capability shows which plans include it.

The customer journey is the same everywhere: a QR code at the counter, a short form on the phone, a card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, with no app to install.

Free plan: up to 50 customers, no credit card. Updated on October 23, 2026.

Loyalty program and card

All plans, from Free on

Stamp or points program

Adjustable reward threshold: 1 to 15 stamps, or up to 10,000 points. 1, 2, 3 or 5 stamps per visit, or a number of points per euro spent. The type (stamps or points) is locked once the program is published.

All plans, from Free on

Several reward tiers in one program

One program can carry several rewards at increasing thresholds, for example 45 points, then 90. The card shows the balance against the current tier’s target and a progress bar marked at each threshold. These are not loyalty levels: the customer does not change status, they move through reward tiers.

Card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet

The customer adds their card from their browser, with no app, no account and no password.

All plans, from Free on

Card customization

Display name, cropped logo, primary and secondary colors, card background and stamp strip background, with a preview faithful to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The card carries the business’s name and colors from the Free plan on, never Cartia’s. On the Free plan: 3 changes, applied at the customer’s next visit. On Pro and Business: unlimited, pushed immediately to cards already issued.

All plans, from Free on

Back of the card, filled in by the business

On the back of their card, the customer reads the business name, a featured message (news, current offer, closure), the welcome note, the program rule written automatically (“at 10 stamps, your reward: …”), the Google review link, a titled useful link (online ordering, booking…), the website, the Instagram and TikTok accounts, opening hours, address and phone number. Every change is pushed in the background to cards already issued, without a notification.

Reinstalling a lost card

A link or QR code from the customer record lets the customer get their card back without filling in the form again.

Counter and visits

All plans, from Free on

Scanning at the counter from a browser

Cartia Counter runs on a phone, tablet or computer, with no app to install. A visit is confirmed by scanning the card’s QR code, or by searching for the customer by name, email or phone.

All plans, from Free on

Credit, reward, cancel

Three actions at the counter: credit stamps or points, give the reward at the threshold, cancel the last operation. Scanning the same card twice only counts once.

All plans, from Free on

Receipt amount, optional

The cashier can enter the purchase amount at the time of the visit. It is optional: loyalty works without it. When entered, it is totaled per staff member. Cartia does not yet derive revenue or an average basket from it.

Pro and Business

Offline counter

Without a connection, the counter keeps crediting stamps or points, removing a mistake and giving a reward. Visits stay on the phone or tablet with their time and are sent automatically when the connection returns; Cartia rechecks them one by one and flags at the counter any it refuses. The customer’s Wallet card updates when the connection returns. The dashboard stays viewable in read-only mode, for pages already opened on the device. You must have opened the counter once with internet on the device.

All plans, from Free on

Cartia on the phone’s home screen

The dashboard and the counter can be added to the home screen from the browser, on iPhone and Android alike, without going through the App Store or Google Play. The icon opens the dashboard directly, and the session stays open for 90 days.

Campaigns and automations

Pro and Business

Notifications on the Wallet card

Message pushed to the lock screen, in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Google caps notifications at 3 per card per 24 hours.

Pro and Business

Proximity reminder

The card appears on the lock screen when the customer passes near the shop (about 100 m). The phone displays it: no customer location is collected. On Android, the text is Google’s.

Pro and Business

Behavioral automations

Four triggers, each with its own delay: after sign-up (5 minutes to 7 days), after the first visit (1 to 30 days), when the balance reaches a threshold (card almost full), and after N days without a visit (7 to 180). Each rule sends a notification on the Wallet card and can target a single tag.

Pro and Business

Audience targeting

All customers, those inactive for 30 days, or a combination of tags.

All plans, from Free on

Google review requests

The business’s Google listing is linked by assisted search or by pasting the Maps link; campaigns and automations can then send the customer straight to the review form.

All plans, from Free on

Four steps to get live: customize the card, publish the program, print the QR kit, display the QR code at the counter. Each step is checked off from a fact verified in the database, and the Home screen shows only the next action, with the time it takes.

Pro and Business

QR Studio

Six module shapes, gradients, solid, gradient, image or transparent backgrounds, a centered logo, frames with text, a choice of error-correction level, PNG, SVG or PDF export.

Billing

Pro and Business

Subscription pause

On an active Pro or Business plan: pause from Billing, with or without a reopening date. No more Stripe charges, and scans and Cartia services are suspended. Time already paid is set aside and credited back on resume, from 7 days of pause: the next charge is pushed back by the same amount, with no refund or partial invoice. Resume in one click from the dashboard or the counter, or automatically on the chosen date; 12 months of pause at most. Customer records and balances are kept; cards stay in the customer’s Wallet. Reserved for paid subscriptions (the Free plan is already free).

GDPR tools per customer

All plans, from Free on

Backups every 6 hours and an encrypted copy in France

Cartia keeps backups on its VPS in Germany, an encrypted copy at o2switch datacenters in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and an additional copy on physical media. Dumps are created every 6 hours. Configured retention is 14 days on the VPS and 30 days at o2switch. VPS monitoring alerts if no successful transfer to o2switch has been recorded for 8 hours.

Pro and Business

Several locations

3 shops and 3 programs included in the Business plan, then €10 per month, tax included, for each additional location, with no limit on the number and no setup fee.

Point-of-sale connection

Pro and Business

Point-of-sale connection, built on request: SumUp POS Pro, Zettle by PayPal, Zelty, Square, Tactill

On these systems, the business owner opens access themselves, with no need to contact the vendor of their point-of-sale system: SumUp POS Pro (formerly Tiller), from the AppMarket in their SumUp POS back office; Zettle by PayPal, by creating an API key at my.zettle.com, under Integrations; Zelty, from the marketplace in their Zelty back office; Square, by authorizing Cartia from their Square account; Tactill, by generating an API key from their Tactill account. Cartia builds the connection at the business owner’s request; it is not a self-service plug-in.

Pro and Business

Points credited from the point-of-sale receipt

Once connected, the customer scans their card, the point-of-sale system sends the receipt amount and points are credited with no entry at the counter, within one to two minutes depending on the system. If the receipt does not arrive (a cash sale outside the register, a network outage), the visit is still credited at the program’s rate: a register outage never costs a customer their points.

Pro and Business

Receipt amount with no entry at the counter

A connected point-of-sale system sends the receipt amount, so the cashier no longer has to type it. Without a connection, the field stays available at the counter and optional. The recorded amount is totaled per staff member; Cartia does not yet derive an average basket or revenue from it.

Transparency

What Cartia does not do

A tool is also chosen for what it lacks. Today, Cartia does not offer:

  • spin-the-wheel or other game mechanics
  • public product API or outgoing webhooks
  • white label (the “Powered by Cartia” mention cannot be removed)
  • consolidated statistics across several shops
  • tracking of revenue or return on investment from loyalty
  • SMS sending
  • referral program between end customers
  • loyalty levels (bronze, silver, gold)
  • connection to an online store (Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop)
  • app to download from the App Store or Google Play, for customers and staff alike
  • email campaigns to customers (not open yet)
